The Morongo Casino
History
The Cabazon Band of Mission Indians and Morongo tribe have been running bingo games for over 30 years now, but it wasn't until the Supreme Court ruled in favor them that they could finally expand their operations into other areas. After California v CABAYON BAND OF MISSION INDIANS was decided on February 25 1987 with a 5-4 vote along party lines from Chief Justice Harry Blackmun's Swing Vote It became clear this decision would open up opportunities not only within our scope as Native Americans here at home or abroad; rather also others states' borders which has led us directly toward today's gaming industry we know so well!
The Gambling on Tribal Lands Amendment is a bill which would allow California's Native American tribes to establish gambling operations. The proposition was passed in 2000 with 64% approval and has been an ongoing issue ever since then as it requires legislative ratification each time one of these deals come up for renewal or if there are any changes made within its guidelines concerning what types games can be played where etc.
The Jerde Partnership announced that the Morongo Hotel groundbreaking was taking place on May 28, 2003. Perini Building Company topped-out this resort with a $250 million price tag in March 2004 and it opened December 10th of same year as one of their largest tribal gaming facilities across America - Casino totem pole design included! The casino closed for business back then but has since reopened due an expansion project at larger facility resulting 300 slot machine displacement from original count which will happen before 2021 begins again.
